SYCAMORE HILLS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Tactical units surrounded a North County home after a call for a double homicide Tuesday afternoon, officials with the Ritenour School District said.

Ritenour School District officials said they locked the front doors of an elementary school, Ritenour Middle School and Ritenour High School due to a call for a double homicide on Brown Road.

According to police, tactical units and multiple law enforcement agencies surrounded a home on Brown Road starting at 12:30 p.m.

Skyzoom 4 was over the scene and saw two St. Louis County Tactical Unit vehicles parked outside a home.

Around 1:45 p.m., Skyzoom captured several members of the unit entering the home that they were staged in front of.

According to police, when they entered the home, they found it to be empty and determined the shooting to be a hoax.
