ST. CLAIR, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police in St. Clair, Missouri have released several surveillance photos showing a man who attempted an armed robbery of a Medicine Shoppe Saturday.

The pharmacy, located in the 1350 block of Plaza Drive, was closed when the suspect tapped on the window and motioned for the pharmacist to come to the door at 1:13 p.m. When the pharmacist opened the door, the suspect said he had a prescription to pick up.

The pharmacist allowed the suspect to enter the store, at which time the pharmacist's daughter noticed a handgun in the suspect's hand.

According to the pharmacist, the suspect pointed the handgun and demanded narcotics.

When the suspect lowered the gun, the pharmacist wrestled him in an attempt to disarm him.

The suspect then left the pharmacy, entered a blue colored car and left the area.

The suspect is described as a man in his 20s, 6-foot tall with a stocky build.
