TOWN AND COUNTRY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Town and Country Police said they are searching for a man who allegedly tricks cashiers into giving him more change than what he is owed.

Authorities said the man recently stole money from a Phillips 66 station near the intersection of Woodsmill and Clayton. Workers said the man came into the store Monday and made a small purchase with a $100 bill. He allegedly repeatedly asked for change in different denominations, and eventually walked out with an extra $90.

Police believe he unsuccessfully attempted to do the same thing at a Whole Foods store, but the clerk realized what he was up to.

Authorities said it is possible he may be the same man who pulled a similar stunt at a Schnucks in Des Peres in January.
