NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) -

A man was shot in the leg at a Metro Station late Wednesday night.

Around 11:15 p.m., police were called to the Metro Station in the 4300 block of North Hanley Road, close to Interstate 70.

Nelson Jackson told News 4 that a group of about eight men were arguing right before the shots were fired.

“Everybody ducked, started running the opposite direction there was ‘no hey what's going on,' no it was duck your head, cover, keep on running straight, hold on to your metro bus ticket and your purse, we're outta here,” Nelson said.

Police have not released any suspect details.

The station serves both bus and train customers and is located just north of the University of Missouri – St. Louis campus.
