PACIFIC, Mo. (KMOV.com) - A man has been charged with first degree murder after his 48-year-old girlfriend was found dead outside a MotoMart in Pacific Tuesday night.

Police say the suspect, David Covert, 60, and the victim, Rosa Bialik-Luttrell, were arguing constantly on Tuesday. After Bialik-Luttrell was killed, Covert called police to report the killing

When police arrived to the convenience store, located in the 200 block of North Payne Street, around 11:00 p.m., Bialik-Luttrell's body was found outside the building. She had three stab wounds in her back and her throat had been slashed. Covert told police Bialik-Luttrell pulled a pocket knife from her purse and tried to stab him. He then told police he grabbed the knife she had stabbed her. The knife was found covered in blood and on top of the roof of the MotoMart.

Surveillance video did not catch the incident. Police were looking for witnesses to the alleged murder. Officials said Covert appeared to have been impaired by alcohol or drugs.

The two had been dating for four years.
