ST. CLAIR COUNTY (KMOV.com) – An armed robbery suspect is in the custody of the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department after a pursuit Saturday.

According to police, Michael D. Dean, 24, from St. Louis, showed a semi-automatic handgun and took an undisclosed amount of money from an Advance Auto Parts store in the 920 block of Carlyle Avenue in unincorporated Belleville around 9:00 p.m. Saturday. After the suspect left the store, he was seen getting into a “newer model Dodge Charger,” police said.

After the vehicle left the scene, police located it and a pursuit ensued.
