NORTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

A woman said landlord refuses to do anything to fix a flooding problem at her north St. Louis home.

Deon Dabney told News 4 flooding has been an issue at her home for quite a while. Dabney said three inches of water recently filled the basement.

“If I had the resources to utilize a lawyer, I would've done that months ago. To me, this is my last resource. I have no alternatives,” Dabney said.

The property manager said he never received a call about flooding concerns. Infinity Homes, which owns Dabney's home, told News 4 the basement is prone to flooding because the home has a stone block foundation. The company also said there is nothing it can do.

“I'm still being forced to live out this contract lease agreement I am the only person liable and have to abide by the contract,” Dabney said.
