SOUTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Authorities say they have arrested the suspect allegedly responsible for killing one victim and injuring two others in a triple shooting in south St. Louis.

Police said Anthony Altick, 27, was inside an apartment in the 5200 block of Jamieson Saturday morning when four men broke the glass on the apartment complex's door, and went inside the building. When the men entered Altick's apartment, he allegedly fired a semi-automatic handgun and hit three of the four suspects.

The first victim, identified as 27-year-old Darryl T. Simms, was shot in his chest, back and side. He was immediately transported to surgery, but was later pronounced dead. The second victim was shot in the upper torso and the third victim was shot in his arms and side. Both are listed in critical, but stable condition.

The fourth victim fled from the scene. Police say one of the victims identified himself to Altick, but after seeing who it was, Altick kept firing.

Altick is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and three counts of armed criminal action. His bail has been set at $750,000.

Altick was out on probation for a burglary charge when the shooting occurred.

Investigators say Altick knew two of the victims.

The investigation is ongoing.
