ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) - Authorities are searching for a suspect after an armed robbery of a BP gas station in South City early Tuesday morning.

Around 2:30 a.m., a man wearing blue jeans and a blue hooded sweatshirt with “West Virginia” written on it entered the BP gas station in the 1100 block of Hampton and asked to purchase a pack of cigarettes. When the clerk turned to get the cigarettes, the suspect pointed a silver hand gun at him.

The suspect demanded cash from the clerk, to which the clerk complied.

After the robbery, the suspect left the scene on foot.

No one was injured during the robbery.

No other details have been made available.

Authorities are investigation the possible connection between this robbery and one that occurred Monday night in Chesterfield
