Ronsonie Scott, 19, has been charged with armed robbery. Police believe he is responsible for four armed robberies in a one mile radius, some of which occurred in the Jeff VanderLou neighborhood.

Scott is accused of carjacking two women at gunpoint outside St. Alphonsus Rock Church, robbing three woman at gunpoint on Sheridan Avenue, and carjacking one in the 2800 block of Washington Avenue. In each case he allegedly showed a gun and threatened his victim. Nobody was injured in any of the robberies.

One victim said he was robbed as he left his home to go to work. He said he found Scott going through his car.

“It's not something you expect first thing in the morning just walking out your front door,” a victim said. “I said ‘hey what are you doing?' He acted as if he was going to walk away.”

The victim said Scott then ran at him, pulled out a knife, and demanded his belongings.

Authorities told News 4 they found Scott hiding in a closet. He is sitting in jail on a $250,000 cash only bond. Police said Scott told them he was working with others to commit the robberies.
