Adults killed, child injured in shooting; victims identified

Authorities are investigating a triple shooting that killed two people and injured a child Monday evening near downtown St. Louis.

According to police, two adults, identified Tuesday morning by police as 23-year-old William Crume and 26-year-old Angelica Wysinger, both of the 4700 block of Alaska,were fatally shot while sitting in a car on Park Avenue just before 7:00 p.m.

Crume was pronounced dead at the scene. He suffered gunshot wounds to his head and upper torso.

Wysinger was taken to a hospital but later died. She suffered gunshot wounds to her left shoulder and hip.

A 9-year-old girl was shot in the hand and taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Two other children, ages 7 and 2, were in the car when the shooting occurred, they were uninjured.

Police do not have information on possible suspects or a description of a car. Police believe the shooting was a drive-by and are looking for a silver vehicle. No other suspect information has been released.

This is the ninth child that has been struck by gunfire in the City of St. Louis since the beginning of the year.
