St. Louis Police Academy completes re-accreditation process

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

 The Metropolitan Police Department, City of St. Louis, announced Monday that the St. Louis Police Academy successfully completed the process to maintain international recognition as an accredited public safety training academy. 

The completion of the process marks the second time that the St. Louis Police Academy has been awarded accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies. 

“By earning CALEA® re-accreditation, the St. Louis Police Academy has once again demonstrated its best practices and excellence in law enforcement training,” said Chief Sam Dotson in a release Monday. “The Academy represents the foundation of our department and we are proud and honored to announce this prestigious accomplishment.”
