ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Two people are listed in critical condition after three separate shootings injured four people in north St. Louis overnight.
Around 10:45 p.m. Sunday, a 48-year-old man was shot several times in the stomach in the 1900 block of Prairie. Police said the suspect was in possession of suspected narcotics at the scene.
According to a witness who was with the victim at the time of the incident, the suspect was in the area to purchase drugs. When the suspect approached the victim, a verbal argument began and the suspect shot the victim.
The victim is currently listed in critical but stable condition.
The suspect was known to the witness and is currently wanted by police.
Roughly 10 minutes later, two women in their early 20's were sitting inside a home in the 4600 block of Cote Brilliante. Both women suffered non-life threatening injuries to their hands, one of the women was also wounded in the back, arm and side.
The women told police they did not see who fired the shots.
The third shooting occurred just after midnight when a 45-year-old man was shot driving near the intersection of North Grand and Kossuth.
According to police, the victim was driving along the roadway when a black SUV, possibly a Ford Escape, pulled alongside him. An unknown occupant of the suspect vehicle fired multiple shots into the victim's vehicle, striking him multiple times.
The victim drove himself to a Phillips 66 gas station, located in the 4500 block of North Broadway, and called authorities.
The man is currently listed in critical condition.
Authorities have not released any details on suspects.
All three investigations are ongoing.
