UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (KMOV) – A man wanted for the murder of a University City woman March 24 was taken into custody in Arizona Thursday.

Michael McAfee, 52, was apprehended by the Arizona State Patrol on Interstate 10. Officers deployed stop sticks to disable McAfee's 2014 Dodge Avenger, which resulted in the vehicle crashing in a ditch.

McAfee is charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, fugitive of justice and felony flight to avoid prosecution. He is being held at the Pinal County, Ariz., Sheriff's Office Jail.

McAfee was the estranged boyfriend of 43-year-old Keisha Powell, who was found dead inside a second floor office in the 8100 block of Delmar.
