The city's code inspector dropped of the notices in the Fieldstone Farms subdivision citing homeowners for peeling paint and algae on siding.

Drabelle says the city has had these codes on the books for a several years as a way to keep houses from falling into neglect.

Homeowners have 30 days to fix the problems in the citations or get hit with a penalty that could be as high as $500.
