ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) - One suspect is in custody and the search is underway for three others after a police pursuit ended in a crash Sunday night.

According to police, the suspects were wanted for shooting a man twice in the side in the 4400 block of Kennerly just after 9:00 p.m.

Around 10:15 p.m., officers in the fifth district spotted a white Chevrolet Impala, which corresponded to the vehicle described by witnesses in the shooting, with the four suspects driving down the roadway. The officers pursued the vehicle.

The four occupants in the Impala were able to exit the vehicle and three suspects fled the scene, while the fourth suspect, a 22-year-old male, was taken into custody. Authorities are still searching for the fleeing suspects.

According to police, one of the wanted suspects is believed to be armed with a handgun.

One officer sustained a minor arm injury and another was cut by broken glass. No other injuries were reported.
