Man, 18, accused of targeting women through robberies, sexual assault

A man accused of robbing two women and sexually assaulting another in separate incidents is in police custody.

Jaquese North, 18, from the 3300 block of Werder, was taken into custody around 6:00 p.m. Saturday after St. Louis County Police Officers located him at a park near Lilac and Interstate 270.

North is suspected of striking a woman in the face in the 500 block of North Skinker around 4:00 p.m. Wednesday. The victim, a 53-year-old woman, told police she was walking on Skinker when the suspect approached her, struck her in the face and stole her cell phone.

North is also accused of grabbing a woman, who was walking on the foot-bridge that crosses the Forest Park Expressway, and demanding money from her Friday morning.

According to police, when North was taken into custody, he admitted that he was also responsible for a sexual assault that took place on March 3 in the area of Trinity and Washington.
