ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A teen was ambushed and robbed at a gas station in the Delmar Loop last week after a group of suspects threatened him with a firearm.

The victim was counting his money in the parking lot of the Circle K gas station at Delmar and Skinker when he was approached by three men.

"I saw him sitting on the curb. And he was hurt. And I saw all the scratches and all that," said Guy Williams, a clerk at Circle K. "He looked beat-up, He was crying, basically saying that he had some incidents with some kids.

When the men approached the teen, one of the suspects allegedly grabbed his money. When the victim tried to get his money back, he was threatened with a gun.

At the gas station where the robbery occurred, there is a sign posted prohibiting crowds of teens and a strong police presence.

On Sunday night, a brawl between a large group of teens broke out just east of the Circle K. The fight culminated with gunshots being fired and a 15-year-old girl sustaining a non-life-threatening bullet wound.

Both incidents are still under investigation.
