FERGUSON, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis plans to build a center on the site of the burned down Quik Trip (QT) gas station in Ferguson.

The announcement was made at a press conference Monday. QT said it is donating the land to the organization.

The center will expand the Urban League's work to broaden access to education/job training, employment and economic self-reliance for residents of the St. Louis metro area, according to a news release. At the press conference, the organization also said the new center will also offer counseling for housing, rent, utility assistance, and mental health services.

Financing is already in place, construction is slated to begin over the summer.
