JUPITER, Fla. (BaseballSTL) --  A day after getting the best possible news regarding staff ace Adam Wainwright - he just has an abdominal strain and will be back in camp today - the Cardinals are going to have to deal with the elements to get in their work today.

Rain is in the area and is expected to remain for the rest of the day and the next few days as well.

No live bullpen sessions are currently scheduled anyway; only side sessions for Michael Wacha, Seth Maness, Kevin Siegrist and Matt Belisle among others.?  With rain expected, the schedule put together by bench coach David Bell has workouts ending at a little after noon local time.  Should the rain continue to come down as expected then hitters will likely be in the cage with pitchers pushing their workouts back a day.

Typically, schedules have rain days built in to allow the fact players won't be able to get in their work at least a couple times over the course of a spring training.  So that won't be a problem if the Cardinals lose today to the weather.

We'll have updates on today's events as the day goes on.  Check into Baseball STL, KMOV.com and News 4 for the latest on the Cardinals from Jupiter, Florida.
