ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Police have a suspect in custody after he allegedly tried to run from the scene of a three-vehicle crash in South City.
When a green Pontiac hit a car near the intersection of Bates and Alaska, the driver did not stop and hit another parked car before crashing. Police said a woman was driving the Pontiac, but was attacked by her boyfriend who was also in the car, causing them to crash.
The boyfriend allegedly tried to run away from the scene, but one of the victims in the crash chased down the suspect.
After a brief struggle, officers were able to take the man into custody.
The family in the first car hit was unharmed, but a female passenger from the suspect's car was taken away from the scene in an ambulance. Her condition is unknown.
