EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KMOV.com) – An East St. Louis man was re-sentenced from 168 months to 135 months in federal prison for aiding and abetting in a kidnapping in July 2012.
According to court documents, in July 2012 Jevon Jenkins and others physically assaulted a Cahokia man in East St. Louis, confined him to a vehicle and drove across the Poplar Street Bridge into Missouri.
The federal court system does not offer inmates the chance of parole. Jenkins was also sentenced to serve 5 years of supervised release and to pay restitution to the victim.
