DE SOTO, Mo. (KMOV.com) – An arrest has been made in connection to a murder that occurred in De Soto Wednesday morning.
Police arrested 30-year-old Thomas Harris, of Festus Thursday morning at a hotel in St. Louis County. Harris is charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Harris is accused of killing 26-year-old Dion Robinson.
Robinson was found with a gunshot wound around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of Blow Street.
Not long before the shooting took place, Robinson went to neighbor Don Popham's house armed with a gun and asked Popham's caretaker to call the police.
Popham said it seemed Robinson had an argument with someone, but before the police could arrive, Popham and his caretaker heard two gunshots.
"He was laid out bleeding and [the caretaker] tried to keep him breathing, but he was gone. Gone way before the ambulance ever got here," said Popham.
Authorities say it is unclear if Harris and Robinson knew one another, but say it was not a random incident.
Prosecutors said they may file charges against a female suspect they have not identified.
