ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A recent string of car break-ins and thefts at a BP gas station in North City has police warning residents to be careful.
Police confirm that since the beginning of February, there have been a few thefts from cars in the parking lot of the station at the intersection of Delmar and Goodfellow. In January, a car was stolen from outside of the station.
At least one of the cars broken into was locked at the time of the incident, but the suspects shattered a window to steal property from off of the vehicle's front seat.
Investigators said the incidents were caught on surveillance camera, but police have not caught the suspects.
Police hope the recent thefts will remind people to be aware of their surroundings and not to leave valuables in their car while they are away from it.
