Barnhart, Mo.- No charges will be filed in the case of a shooting at Jefferson County Market that left one person dead.

Robert Lawson, 48, showed up to Karsch's Market intoxicated and, when attempting to leave in a vehicle, was confronted by an employee of the store.

Lawson pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the employee, who pulled out his own handgun and shot Lawson.

After an investigation, authorities have decided that no legal action will be taken against the employee, who stated that they felt threatened by Lawson.
