FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo.- A Union man was arrested Saturday after fleeing from police in a car and causing two crashes.

Kirk W. Hall, 37, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for driving while intoxicated, alcohol aggravated offender.

According to Union police, an officer attempted to stop the 2000 Ford Expedition driven by Hall for failing to use a signal and not having a front license plate.

Police said Hall stopped the vehicle, but pulled away immediately after. Cops did not pursue Hall because he was driving recklessly at a high rate of speed.

Hall struck the rear end  of a car driving southbound on Church St. before turning west on Highway 50, where he struck a trailer being pulled by a truck.

Hall then attempted to drive around the trailer , which damaged his vehicle, leading him to flee on foot before being apprehended by the Franklin County Sheriff's Sgt.
