ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com)- A woman has been charged with felony stealing after attempting to shoplift a pair of men's UGG boots from the St. Louis Premium Outlets in Chesterfield.

Police said Keisha L. Wilkes, of St. Louis, put the UGG boots in a handbag before leaving the store, but for an unknown reason left the shoes and the bag in the parking lot before leaving.

Police found the boots inside the bag, which also included a note from the state probation and parole board office reminding Wilkes of an upcoming appointment, because she was on probation for two previous theft charges in which she pleaded guilty.

Police used the note to arrest Wilkes at her probation appointment for the theft of the UGG boots.

Surveillance video from the store showed Wilkes stealing the boots, police said.

In her two previous convictions, Wilkes admitted to stealing a deposit bag in 2010 holding $661 from the Hardee's she was working at and stealing seven purses by stuffing them into plastic bags at a T.J. Maxx in 2012.

Wilkes is being held on a $12,500 bail.
