FRANKLIN COUNTY (KMOV.com) – A 33-year-old, Sullivan, Mo. native was arrested Tuesday night after officers received a report that a 2004 Jeep Cherokee had been stolen from a Fast Trip gas station in Sullivan, Mo.
When a patrolling officer approached the vehicle in question, Jessica D. Strosnider started the vehicle and attempted to run the officer over, police say. The officer was uninjured and continued to pursue the vehicle. The suspect turned around after passing the Meramec State Park and in the process ran an assisting Sullivan officer off the road.
The chase continued until the suspect drove into a utility pole in Sullivan. She then proceeded to run from the scene. A Taser was deployed to end the foot pursuit.
According to court records, Strosnider was charged through the Franklin County Circuit Court with two counts of assault of a law enforcement officer in the Second Degree, two counts of armed criminal action, stealing of a motor vehicle, resisting a lawful stop, property damage in the first degree, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and driving while revoked.
Bond was set $100,000.
