WISCONSIN (KMOV.com) -- A Wisconsin high school wrestling match was the scene of an all-out brawl according to witnesses, but not between students.
It all started with parents of the students participating in the wrestling tournament. According to one parent, Shannon Goodman the attention turned to the stands after the last conference match.
“The person was blocking the other guys’ view of the heavy weight match of the last conference match," said Goodman.
Soon after, the yelling quickly turned to violence and parents began tagging each other in to try and stop the fighting.
Goodman saw first-hand just how violent things had turned.
"I saw this bigger gentleman, he was pounding on someone on the ground. I couldn't tell, I didn't know it was a woman at the time."
After the altercation Goodman turned the video over to the local police. Oconomowoc, WI Police Chief, David Beguhn says the parent in question had been arrested for a battery charge.
“We are reviewing the video as to what led up to the incident as well as any possible charges/citations,” said Beguhn.
