(KMOV.com) – Two men are sentenced to prison for terrorizing a victim in a Walmart parking lot in early 2015.

Detectives say a suspect was hiding between cars and jumped out and grabbed a 52-year-old woman’s purse at a Walmart in Arnold, Missouri on January 26, 2015. During the struggle most of the contents fell on the ground and the suspect only got away with a few checks.

The victim was not injured during the incident. However, during the struggle the suspect fell and hit his face on the pavement.

Investigators say one of the suspects went in the store and was caught on a surveillance camera. A witness reportedly got the license plate number of the getaway car.

Kevin Hayes Jr., 26, of Villa Ridge was reportedly driving the car the purse-snatching suspect got into after the robbery.

On February 2, 2015, Hayes was charged with second degree robbery, a class B Felony. Joseph Lamar Davis, 26, of St. Louis, is also charged with second-degree robbery for the incident.

Authorities say on February 15, a judge decided Hayes will go to prison for seven years. And his friend, Davis, will go to jail for ten years.

According to authorities, if Davis finished a 120 day treatment program, he is eligible for early release.
