DETROIT (CNN) – The Detroit man who walked 21 miles a day to get to and from work is getting a new car.
America learned of James Robertson's plight earlier this week.
He started walking to his factory job a decade ago when his car died, and his walking route grew due to the factory being moved and bus service being cut.
A college student launched a fundraiser for Robertson on Go Fund Me.
In just four days, thousands of donors provided more than $300,000.
Now, a Michigan car dealership is giving Robertson a 2015 Ford Taurus.
The dealership's manager says no one deserves the car more than Robertson.
