ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com)- The driver of a car accident killing two people Jan. 28 has been identified as Rolanda Watkins of St. Louis.
Police say Watkins was driving at a high rate of speed when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a guardrail. The vehicle then struck a concrete wall and flipped back into the interstate, becoming engulfed in flames.
Both Watkins, 38, and the passenger, Janay Douglas, 32, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident was one of many on a night in which five people were killed in car accidents throughout the St. Louis area.
