ST. LOUIS (KMOV) — With a heat advisory in effect, organizers are not taking any chances when it comes to the heat for the Fair St. Louis 4th of July celebrations this weekend in Downtown St. Louis.
Fair St. Louis will have air-conditioned emergency medical centers on site for anyone who feels the heat is too much for them. One center will be north of the Old Cathedral and the other will be on the south leg of the Arch.
Mobile cooling stations will also be available by the fire department. Also the museum underneath the Arch will be open for those who need a quick cool down.
Fair St. Louis organizers say last year’s heat made few visitors ill from the heat but nothing serious.
Also, vendors will have lots of food, water, ice and beverages on hand for the weekend’s festivities.
Visitors say they know what to expect on the Fourth of July weekend in St. Louis, heat and humidity.
