WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. (KMOV) – A proposed connector route that is supposed to make getting around Mid and South County a lot easier could come at the cost of an entire neighborhood.
St. Louis County, Maplewood, Shrewsbury and St. Louis City face similar dilemmas, but residents in Webster Groves could get hit the hardest.
The project has yet to be funded and at the very least is years away, but neighbors are ready to take on the government to battle plans to bulldoze homes to make way for roads.
Wednesday night, residents packed Webster’s city hall to learn what’s next in the process.
By the end of the year, the county hopes to whittle the five options down to two. But no matter which path is chosen, homes are in danger of demolition.
