ST. LOUIS (AP) -- St. Louis police chief Dan Isom believes those breaking into cars downtown have one thing in mind: Guns.
Thieves shattered the windows of more than 60 cars at an unattended parking lot near Busch Stadium over the weekend. Isom told KMOX Radio that in many cases, nothing was taken, and police believe that the suspects were rummaging through vehicles in search of weapons.
Isom says 60 guns were stolen from cars parked downtown in 2010. He recommends that gun owners install lock boxes to keep their weapons safe from criminals.
