(KMOV)— Authorities have identified a man who was shot in the chest and died after a double-shooting in north St. Louis Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities said Lance Branscomb, 26, and another man, 26, were seated in a pickup truck around 4 p.m. near the intersection of Ridge and Semple, when a suspect wearing a mask approached the vehicle and began shooting.
Branscomb ran from the scene and collapsed on the street. He was transported with a chest wound to Barnes Jewish Hospital and later died from his injuries.
The second victim was shot in both legs. He was able to run from the scene and was transported to a local hospital by a friend. He is now listed in critical condition.
One of the people inside the vehicle returned fire, but it was not clear if the suspect was hit. The suspect left the scene, but there are no details at this point if the suspect left on foot or not.
The investigation is ongoing.
