(KMOV) --- A Metrolink conductor did more than drive his train Tuesday morning, he saved a life.
An opossum was caught between the rails near the Washington Park station. The conductor tried blowing the train's horns to get it to move, when it wouldn't, he requested permission to go outside and move it.
Upon first approach, the opossum did what it's known to do, play possum. The conductor then wrapped the animal in an orange safety vest and moved it to the side of the tracks.
The opossum did appear to be suffering from an injury or ailment, but the Metrolink conductor gets kudos for giving it a chance.
