St. Louis man sentenced to prison after murdering man

(KMOV)—A 21-year-old man is sentenced for the first degree murder of a Maplewood man in St. Clair County on Monday.

 According to officials, Lason “Dough Boy” Elliot, of St. Louis, Mo was sentenced to 40 years in prison after being found guilty of murdering Martin Lampe on March 24, 2010.
 
According to police reports, Lampe was shot twice in his side by Elliot during a carjacking in a Sauget, Ill convenience store parking lot. Lampe later died from his wounds.
 
The judge sentenced Elliot to 40 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections with no possibility of parole.
