Board mulls new liquor ordinance in Metro-East

The draft of a new liquor control ordinance in Glen Carbon was presented to village trustees Tuesday for their consideration.

In discussing the document, Glen Carbon Police Chief David Bradford said changes in the existing ordinance have been under review by members of the village’s Public Services Committee since last November.

Among other things, changes include substantially higher license fees and an increase in the type of licenses to be issued from four to 12.
