(KMOV)--St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson is accused of assaulting his former girlfriend when she was 9 months pregnant.

In a voluntary statement filed Wednesday in Louisiana, Supriya Harris said in March of 2009 at Jackson's home in Las Vegas, Jackson repeatedly pushed her to the ground and flung her against a door causing her hip to bleed. She said she was treated at a Las Vegas area hospital and released.

Harris said she gave birth to her son 9 days after the incident and also states in the report that she left Jackson a few months later after he again threatened to assault her.

News 4 talked to a sheriff's department spokesman in St. John Parish, Louisiana who confirms that Harris filed the voluntary statement Wednesday.

A Las Vegas police department spokesperson told News 4 that an investigation will not be opened until an actual police report is filed.

Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo issued this statement:
"We are aware of the situation involving Steven Jackson. We are in the process of gathering information. We are always concerned with issues involving our players."
