Texting could cost states money

Text or drive? Make a decision. U.S. Senator Charles Schumer is sponsoring a bill that could make states pay up that don't  ban texting and driving for all drivers. States that don't agree will lose 25 percent of their federal highway funds. There are 19 states that already prohibit texting while driving. While 23 states are debating if they will enforce a state ban. Currently the state of Illinois already has a statewide ban in place. However, Missouri's ban on texting while driving is only for drivers under 21. If this ban is approved Missouri will have to revisit their texting while driving law. So tell me what do you think? Do you think there should be a statewide ban on texting while driving? Please weigh in we want to hear from you.
