St. Louis officer struck while directing traffic

(KMOV) -- A St. Louis police officer was struck by a vehicle while directing traffic at the Fox Theater.

The incident happened just before 11:00 p.m. Saturday night. Police said the officer was standing in the no driving zone directing traffic when a 67-year-old woman hit the officer.
 
The officer was taken to the hospital and treated for a shoulder injury and cuts to his face. He was released a short time later.
