Metro-East police may get new equipment

The Maryville Police Department may soon been in line for a much-needed new piece of equipment— its police dispatch computer or workstation.

At Wednesday’s meeting of the village caucus, Maryville Police Chief Rich Schardan proposed the purchase of a new one that will not only be faster but functional.

“The dispatch computer went out in December,” Schardan said.
