(KMOV.com) -- Medical centers across the St. Louis area are gearing up for flu season and SSM Cardinal Glennon held its first of three free flu clinics Saturday offering a way for people to never even have to get out of their cars.
Saturday’s event was held in the parking lot of the Ronald McDonald House and those who wanted a flu shot could use the drive-thru.
“We decided on the drive-thru this year,” said Chief Operations Officer Damon Harbison, “We wanted to be innovative and convenient and have no excuses for families not to get vaccinated.”
“It was an easy experience,” said attendee Kyle Brown, “It was fast. I didn’t have to wait in line. I didn’t have to worry about being around other people that may already be sick.”
SSM will hold additional flu clinics on October 18th and 25th. You can find more information on those here.
