Suspects in custody for allegedly taking cigarettes, money for Phillips 66 in Sullivan

SULLIVAN, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Two people were arrested early Wednesday morning for allegedly robbing a gas station in Sullivan, Missouri.

Around 3:27 a.m. Wednesday, a man wearing a mask entered the Phillips 66 service station at 513 North Service Road in Sullivan. Police say the man demanded several cartons of cigarettes and money from the cash register, which the clerk provided.

Authorities say no weapons were displayed by the suspect during the robbery.

According to police, the suspect fled in a yellow Chevrolet Cavalier.

Roughly 30 minutes after the robbery, the Pacific Police Department conducted a traffic stop of the suspect vehicle. A 22-year-old man and a 24-year-old female were arrested and taken to the Sullivan Police Department.

Authorities say they recovered stolen items in the vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
