WASHING (KMOV.com) – Residents who live around Mercy Washington Hospital are frustrated after hospital administrators told employees they were no longer allowed to park on the public lot, forcing them to park in another lot and the streets.
Officials say they told employees to park at another lot, further than the public lot which is right next to the Medical Center. The new policy was created in an effort to keep the spaces open for hospital patients only. However, since the new lot for employee parking is so far away, employees have started parking along residential streets.
The Washington Missouri Police Chief says they want to help reach a solution between the hospital, employees, and residents, but parking in the streets is not illegal.
