FERGUSON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Three town hall meetings will take place in Ferguson Monday evening to address misperceptions about the city.
The meetings will take place at City Hall, 110 Church Street, Wellspring Church, 33 South Florissant and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 17 Hawkesbury Drive, from 6 to 8 p.m.
“Letting people know that we are being responsive, that we are hearing what they are saying….everything else we do hinders on having that trust we want people to know that we are listening, we want to give them answers and that right there will be the foundation moving forward,” said James Knowles, the mayor of Ferguson.
The meetings will be closed to the media and those living outside of Ferguson.
Tonight’s meetings are the first of five town hall meetings, the next one will take place Tuesday Sept. 30 when the discussion will focus on communication with city leaders.
