WRIGHT CITY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Two people were flown to an area hospital after 3 semi-trucks and an SUV were involved in a rollover crash on Interstate 70 near Wright City, Missouri early Monday morning.

The Missouri Highway patrol says the accident occurred around 5:15 a.m. forcing the right lane of the interstate to close,

The driver of the Jeep Grand Cherokee involved in the accident told News 4 he came over the hill, saw what he thought was fog, then saw a truck and swerved to avoid it.

“The semi tore my car apart like a can opener,” the driver said.

The driver of the Jeep Grand Cherokee suffered bruises and had a bandage on his face, but is expected to be okay.

The drivers of two semi-trucks were airlifted for treatment of unknown injuries.
