Police investigating shooting involving 16-year-old victim in north St. Louis

NORTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Police are investigating a shooting involving a 16-year-old victim in north St. Louis Sunday afternoon.

Authorities say they responded to a shooting involving two vehicles in the area of Riverview and Broadway. Upon arriving at the scene, both vehicles and victims had left the scene.

Shortly after arriving, police say a representative with a St. Louis County hospital called them to notify them of two shooting victims, a 37-year-old man and his 16-year-old son. The father had sustained a gunshot wound to his thigh and is listed in critical/stable condition. The 16-year-old had two gunshot wounds, one in his neck and the other in his arm. He is listed in critical/stable condition.

Police interviewed both victims, but have received conflicting statements about the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
