ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – All but one lane of Natural Bridge Road has reopened following a large water main break near Lambert International Airport Friday morning.

A 20 inch main broke just before 6:40 a.m. forcing the road to close east of Woodson Road. According to Missouri American Water, the break was isolated so no service was interrupted.

All but one eastbound lane of Natural Bridge was reopened about an hour after the break occurred.

Missouri American Water said the cause of the break appeared to be aging pipes.
